Wellness sector meets for the Interbad at the "Hydrothermal Spa Forum" at Konz Fliesenhandel in Germany [18.10.12]

On October 8, 2012, just a day before the Interbad, the Hydrothermal Spa Forum (formerly “User Conference”) took place for the sixth time. As in the previous years, the companies Lux Elements, HygroMatik SPA, Innovag Snowsystems, WDT Werner Dosiertechnik and Sommerhuber had invited international guests from the spa and wellness sector. “Special Guest” was the Semco Company from Switzerland.

More than 100 participants from over 20 countries accepted the invitation to the event location in Waiblingen.

Rolf Longrée, Managing Director of Lux Elements, was more than enthusiastic about the pleasant atmosphere: “We couldn’t have found a better place for the HTSF. The generously sized, newly designed showroom had sufficient space and also has an integrated restaurant. That is unique worldwide! With their hospitality and commitment, the Konz Company employees created a welcoming atmosphere, such that all guests felt comfortable right from the start.”

The morning of the event began with theoretical and practical workshops on the topic of interfaces in the equipment of wellness facilities. These were ideally organised, enabling all participants to take part in every workshop due to a rotation cycle. This concept was already applied last year and was well praised by all.

The centrepiece of this year's workshops was a steam shower cabin, in which the core components – from design over technology through to surfaces – came from the hosting companies. The companies were therefore able to vividly present the competence of their products in combination with other components.

This again highlighted the synergy idea pursued by the founders of the Hydrothermal Spa Forums: the joint development of solutions for the spa and wellness sector.

In the afternoon, the internationally experienced spa consultant Dagmar Rizzato lectured on “Cultural differences in spa design”. Amongst other things, her lecture dealt with how such factors as climate, culture and religion influence the construction and equipment of wellness facilities in different countries. The lecture was extremely interesting for all guests, who came from such countries as Germany, Switzerland, Russia, Ukraine, Denmark, Sweden, China, Hong Kong, France, Italy, Portugal, Turkey and Lithuania.

After the lecture there was still enough time for discussion and personal conversation. A large part of the guests took the subsequent opportunity of the shuttle service to a vineyard in the surrounding area. The evening was brought to a close there in a pleasant atmosphere with an evening meal typical of the region.

The Hydrothermal Spa Forum took place this year in the showrooms of Konz Fliesenhandel GmbH, which is ideally situated due to its close proximity to the trade fair grounds in Stuttgart.

Stefan Schöllhammer, member of the Konz founder family, and Rolf Longrée, Managing Director of Lux Elements, opened the Hydrothermal Spa Forum.

The practical workshops in the morning met with very positive feedback.

Using the example of a steam cabin, Christian Sommerhuber showed how the Sommerhuber ceramics fit into the overall concept.

Spa expert Dagmar Rizzato’s lecture “Cultural differences in spa design” was followed by an international, attentive audience.

The usual casual exchange at the Hydrothermal Spa Forum found the enthusiastic approval of the participants from all over the world.
