LUX ELEMENTS stops its own foam production in France [10.03.25]

In order to meet future and increasingly specific foam requirements and the constant effort towards more sustainable products, LUX ELEMENTS will now source white EPS foam from external production.

LUX ELEMENTS has stopped producing EPS hard foam in Ungersheim (Alsace), France. The company's previous production site will continue to serve as a distribution center for the French market. In the future, the hard foam will be sourced from external production, ensuring that the LUX ELEMENTS recipe and the previous quality requirements are still met. As part of this change, the course was set for more sustainable EPS hard foam: from now on, production will be carried out without any blue coloring, in white, thus increasing recyclability even further.

Managing Director Julia Lux is convinced that this step will position LUX ELEMENTS well for the future. "Stopping our own EPS production after 25 years was not an easy step. But in order to continue to be a reliable partner for our customers in view of the challenges ahead, it was unfortunately unavoidable. In addition, we are consistently following our philosophy of sustainable action."
